Expedition documentary series

The hunt beneath Nassau.

Wreckwatch TV’s Mystery of the Pirate King’s Treasure follows an international expedition into the history and submerged archaeology of Nassau, once the home port of Blackbeard, Calico Jack, Anne Bonny, Benjamin Hornigold and “Pirate King” Henry Avery.

With first-ever official permission to dive in the closed zone of Nassau harbour, the expedition located six wrecks, including three associated with the Golden Age of Piracy. The work combined documentary filmmaking, historical research, local knowledge, archaeology, diving and digital reconstruction.

Chris served as project filmmaker and presenter, documenting the expedition on land and underwater for the Wreckwatch TV series.
